The Dubai Frame
A golden frame has been enthroning the Dubai skyline since 2018. The Dubai Frame in Zabeel Park is now one of the most spectacular buildings in the city and fits seamlessly into the list of must-see attractions in Dubai. The location between the old city center and the young city districts was chosen deliberately, as the building is supposed to symbolize the fusion of tradition and modernity in the metropolis.
One more superlative, one more record
In addition to a new top attraction Dubai also gained a world record, because the Dubai Frame is the largest picture frame in the world. With a height of 150 meters, the architect has created a special tourist attraction. The viewing platform attracts around 2 million visitors annually.
Old & New Dubai
The Dubai Frame is based on a huge picture frame with two different contents.
Depending on the direction in which they are looking, visitors can see either the new Dubai in the southwest or the old Dubai in the north. Inside the picture frame there is an elevator to a viewing platform with a glass floor.
This platform connects the two pillars of the frame. The two beautiful views make it to one of the most popular tourist attractions in Dubai. It is therefore worth booking tickets online in advance.
Best visiting time!
The best time for a visit is noon, as the sky is often very clear at this time. The view from one of Dubai’s most popular sights is of course also wonderful in the evening or at night.
If you want to go sightseeing in Dubai, you can’t avoid this great tourist attraction. There are many different options in tickets. Tourists can e.g. book skip the line tickets, tickets that include hotel transfer or a combination of tickets for the Dubai Frame and Burj Khalifa or Dubai Garden Glow, which are further sightseeing attractions of Dubai.
A superlative viewing platform
The tourist attraction’s viewing platform offers a wonderful view of the entire city. Tourists can enjoy a view like from no other building. The glass floor on the bridge is the highlight of the attraction: a look down from a height of around 150 meters gives tourists an incredible feeling. The viewing platform offers a 360 ° experience at a height of 150 meters. From there, a view of the entire skyline with its landmarks reveals itself. Above all, it also shows the diversity of Dubai. The sandy beaches, the Persian Gulf, the fascinating silhouette of Dubai’s skyline and the surrounding kilometer-long desert.
360° view of contrasts
The building should not only frame Dubai, but also connect the „New Dubai“ with the „Old Dubai“. On the one hand you can see the traditional Dubai with old quarters like Al Karama and Deira and all the souks and on the other hand you can see more tourist attractions like the countless modern skyscrapers and the shopping malls and marinas. The contrast between these both parts of Dubai makes the view from the platform very special.
Museum
A museum on the ground floor will show visitors how Dubai has been transformed from a fishing village into one of the most famous luxury metropolises in the world. Visitors travel back in time to old, current and future Dubai. Even before they go up to the viewing platform, visitors are given admission to said museum. After the visitors have stepped back in time, a panorama elevator takes them up to the viewing platform, where they can enjoy the spectacular view over Dubai and its attractions.
Outlook for the future
When you get back down, you travel further into the future of Dubai: 2050. The path leads through a time travel tunnel. The future of Dubai and its tourist attractions is visualized here with image and sound animations. Future buildings can already be explored there. The entrance fee for the museum and the time travel tunnel is already included in the price of the tickets for the Dubai Frame.
